GATEWAY LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
The Gateway Leadership Initiative (GLI) is Inspiring leaders to start, grow and multiply new churches that help people move from lost to leading. Discovering leaders with the ability and experience needed for church planting. Equipping leaders for starting new, “come as you are” churches formed from people far from God and Multiplying new churches as part of the reproducing movement.
GLI supports Phrases for Life by serving as the non-profit managing and administering donations for our initiative. GLI also provides oversight to ensure that any funds collected are used appropriately and in accordance with our stated purpose.

Gateway Church supports Phrases for Life by providing us with spiritual guidance. John Burke, the lead pastor at Gateway Church, has inspired us with the motivation behind the app and is helping us build toward a vision where anyone can learn hundreds of Bible phrases easily by committing themselves to no more than 5 minutes per day.

We wholeheartedly believe a daily rhythm of seeking intimacy with God has the power to transform lives.
That’s why YouVersion creates biblically centered, culturally relevant experiences that encourage and challenge people to seek God throughout each day. It’s through these experiences we create opportunities fit for anyone’s daily routine, ultimately helping them form a spiritually-rich rhythm of seeking God intimately.
Our mission is to encourage and challenge people to seek intimacy with God every day.
The YouVersion team has been extremely gracious to share their valuable time with us to give us ideas, help us with relationships for content licensing and give us access to some members of their community for feedback regarding our application. We are excited to be working on a Bible plan for YouVersion that focuses on the benefits and process of phrase memorization.
THE DIGITAL BIBLE LIBRARY
The Digital Bible Library® (DBL) is an online digital asset and licensing management platform developed and maintained by the United Bible Societies. DBL gathers, validates, and safeguards a large collection of quality, standardized, digital Scripture texts and publication assets, in hundreds of languages — all contributed by a growing number of partnering translation agencies. DBL enables the secure licensing and distribution of these resources to approved internal or external ministry partners. In this way, DBL seeks to empower others to reach people from every tribe, in every nation, with the power of God’s Word in their heart language.
The Digital Bible Library team has partnered with us to help us with content licensing for the Phrases for Life app. Their support helps us connect with content providers and streamline the significant overhead of consummating and managing the various license agreements required to legally make popular translations available to our user population.
